I am delighted you are considering becoming a patron.
The Patrons’ Club was created in 2008 to thank our supporters for their wonderful and vital donations and to encourage new supporters to give at a significant level. Since its creation our patrons have raised nearly £9 million.
This magnificent amount has ensured that we are able to accelerate research into type 1 diabetes resulting in significant advancement in our understanding of the condition. 2014 was one of our most important years to date and groundbreaking milestones have been achieved in treatments for type 1 diabetes, including encapsulation, the artificial pancreas and smart insulin.
As a patron you will be part of an exclusive group of highly valued supporters. Our patrons benefit from receiving regular e-newsletters and communications ensuring you are kept up to date with the latest developments in research and technology.
In addition, you will be invited to exclusive annual Patron Club events. The events offer you the opportunity to meet with a prominent researcher, our award-winning Chief Executive Karen Addington, members of our senior management team and Board Directors.
The events also offer you the opportunity to meet fellow patrons, including high-profile personalities who have been affected by type 1, at an exclusive venue providing an extensive networking opportunities.
I also organise bespoke visits for our Family Fellowship Patrons to research centres of excellence including King’s College London and the Universities of Cambridge, Glasgow and Cardiff to meet with our bank of expert UK researchers. I can also offer highly sought-after opportunities to meet members of our international research team and international organisational network.
To become a patron, we ask you to consider a gift from £5,000 upwards. You can donate online or call me to leave your gift.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting at a time and location convenient to you please contact me. I look forward to welcoming you.
