A very warm welcome to the Patrons’ Club.
As a Vice President of JDRF and a fellow Patron, I cannot thank you all enough for so generously supporting JDRF. I appreciate that many of the Patrons or their family have been affected by type 1 diabetes, and have witnessed first hand the huge effect the condition has.
In 2007 when my great nephew Oliver was nine, he was diagnosed with type 1. So I have seen how having someone living with the condition in a family puts tremendous stress, not only on the person, but also the whole family. It is a round the clock challenge!
So, thank goodness for JDRF, the world’s leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. They are a lifeline for those with the condition and do a tremendous job. What would we do without them!
