Being a Patron gives me the opportunity to become more involved. It’s more than just signing a cheque, it’s understanding what’s being done with the money. I am tremendously proud of what we have achieved so far. The Patrons’ Club was launched in 2008 and together we have succeeded in raising over £2 million towards type 1 research.
This was only possible thanks to the enthusiastic support of all the Patrons who joined the Club, with an interest in improving
the long-term health and well being of people with type 1, whilst searching for the cure.
Along the way, new friends and connections have been made, and I know that many of us have been deeply impressed by the work of JDRF through meeting its dedicated staff and researchers.
The Patrons’ Club aims to address JDRF’s greatest desire – to find a cure for type 1 diabetes – and we are inviting Patrons to join us for a new challenge, the securing of £4 million over the next four years to fund even more research. By joining together and having a named fund, we as Patrons can achieve more and get the results more quickly.
Please join me in being part of the fantastic team at JDRF by giving your support, and making the next four years an even greater success.
Yours, with many thanks,
CEO Aon Benfield
