A media company has supported JDRF at its business awards nights all across the country this year to raise a staggering £80,000. This brings the grand total it has raised for JDRF to over £100,000!news_ Insider Media

Insider is the UK’s leading regional business to business news company. They host over 100 business events each year, including prestigious awards nights for the financial and property sectors. JDRF benefited from the prize draw at a series of Insider’s regional Dealmakers and Property Awards, attended by hundreds of leading companies and business leaders.

Marlen Roberts, Insider’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to support JDRF and to be helping to fund more groundbreaking research towards the cure for type 1 diabetes.

When the cure is found for this indiscriminate condition we will be proud to have played our part in changing the lives of thousands of people across the UK.”

The awards evenings are compered by celebrities such as Colin Murray, Martin Bayfield, Ed Chamberlin and Dan Walker who all gave passionate charity appeals. They have also, like Insider, supported JDRF through social media after the events to help raise our profile.

Chris Normington, Development Manager at JDRF North, said: ‘We can’t thank Insider enough for their incredible support and the business community for their generous donations. This partnership has not only raised a huge amount of money but also raised awareness amongst thousands of high profile businessmen and women.’

The thought to include charities in the awards evenings is testament to the nature of the organisation and the type of people that work there.”
