Please note our Youth Ambassador Programme is based in the UK. However, we’re happy to accept applications no matter where you live, as our activities are mainly remote or online. If you’re based in the US and would like support closer to home, please visit Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF).
Want to mentor someone younger and show them how to navigate problems they may be facing such as, talking to friends about type 1, going to university, socialising, starting work whilst having type 1. We want to encourage peer to peer support and provide a network of support and encouragement.
Besides being part of the only young people’s type 1 diabetes club in the UK, you will also get a certificate once you have completed your stage three tasks. You can also use your time volunteering as a reference for future career prospects.
If you’d like to become a member, just complete the form below and we will be in touch with more details.
We’d love to keep you updated about our work to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes, and how we support people with type 1. We’d also like to let you know how you can help by donating, volunteering or campaigning.
We may stay in touch by post or phone if we have those details from you, but it keeps our costs down if we can use email, meaning that we can invest more money in ground breaking type 1 research.
Please let us know if you’re happy for us to contact you by email:
