If you’re aged between 11 and 16 and have a connection to type 1 diabetes, this is the JDRF Youth Ambassador stage for you.

Start your journey with JDRF by:

  • Getting involved along with other t1 Ambassadors to campaign, volunteer and get creative
  • Feeling part of a fantastic club that is helping JDRF continue its important work

What does it involve?

If you join the t1 Ambassador programme we will ask you to complete a set of tasks. These will help JDRF to raise awareness of type 1 diabetes and raise money for our medical research. We will ask you to do tasks such as:

  • Due to the success of the I&E Panel, we have formed a Junior I&E panel for t1 Ambassadors. This will be your platform to talk to tech companies, product launches, how type 1 affects your daily life and how they can help you. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on future technology and type 1 support systems across the UK
  • Your opinion is important and helps influence future decisions within the type 1 arena
  • Ambassadors will play a leading role in the conversation about type 1 and your daily lives. t1 Ambassadors can get involved in our social media project with a leading social media influencer to help share yours and JDRF’s message. This is your opportunity to be heard and seen

What will I get?

Not only will you be helping us, but we will help you. We will provide you with skills you can carry forward in future. We will hold training sessions on such subjects as, Social Media Training, Presentation Skills, Talking to your Peers and Media Training
