Cure research is all about looking for a way to reverse type 1 diabetes.
Treatment research is about making sure the lives of people with type 1 diabetes are as healthy and hassle-free as possible until we find the cure.
Prevention research looks to the future. This research is focused on working out who is at risk of developing type 1 diabetes and finding a way to prevent them developing the condition.
“Our family was suddenly and abruptly introduced to type 1 diabetes back in 2007, when our then 9-year-old daughter, Clare, was diagnosed.
Fortunately, we became involved with JDRF at an early stage, and the network they have created has been a constant support to us as a family ever since.
We now take great comfort in the feeling that we are together on the journey to ultimately find a cure. We are proud of the part we play, as Patrons investing in the work of JDRF to help make continual advancements possible.”
