Interested in learning more about type 1 diabetes?

Come and learn through hands-on science and creative displays.

The Diabetes Research Group will give short demonstrations highlighting the research taking place here in Cardiff. Followed by their artist-in-residence, Bridget O’Brien, introducing her art project “Window into the Pancreas” with opportunities to participate in a “Think, Make, Play, Create Workshop”. Get involved, have fun, and help make a piece of creative art exploring research into diabetes. You don’t have to be Leonardo Da Vinci – we want YOU! All levels of skill very welcome!

  • Parking is available on site with CP1, CP5, and CP8 providing easy access to the Henry Wellcome Building – view the map
  • Refreshments provided
  • Ages 7 and up
  • Hosted by the Cardiff University Diabetes Research Group and the JDRF, the type 1 diabetes charity
