If you’re only ever going to do one marathon, make sure it’s the Virgin Money London Marathon.
From the cheering crowds and thrilling atmosphere to the world famous landmarks lining the 26.2-mile route from Greenwich to the Mall, it’s no surprise that this is one of the most famous races in the world. In 2018 JDRF had over 165 runners pounding the streets of London and this time round, we’re looking to recruit a team of over 200 runners, helping us to raise a combined total of £400,000 to fund type 1 research.
How to get a place
JDRF charity places in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019
We have now chosen our first round of applicants but you can still apply to be placed on our waiting list. We can allocate places up until January so please do apply for the waiting list if you would still like a chance of getting a place. If you are successful in getting a place on our team then you will be asked to pay a £100 registration fee to confirm your place and there will be a minimum sponsorship target of £2,000.
Virgin Money London Marathon Ballot
Don’t forget if you applied for the ballot, the results will be announced early October. If you are one of the lucky ones and get a place through the ballot when it is announced then you can use your place to run for JDRF. When your place is confirmed from the race organisers Please click here to join the team and register your own place with us.
Please note that an Own place is not a guaranteed Charity place and so you should only fill this form in if you have a confirmed place with a running club or through the ballot. If you enter wrongly then this could mean you missing out on a place altogether in the run.
