Come along to our FREE Type 1 Discovery Day at Huntingdon (Hinchingbrooke House), where you can find out more about the latest progress in type 1 diabetes research, listen to inspirational talks and meet other adults, children and families affected by the condition. Entertainment will be provided for the children.
The day involves:

Francesca Annan qualified as a dietitian in Cardiff in 1990, and also has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. She currently works as Clinical Specialist Paediatric/Adolescent Diabetes Dietitian at University College London Hospitals having previously been the lead Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. She runs a specialist exercise and diabetes management clinic for children and adolescents.
Andy is a Personal Trainer from Milton Keynes. He has had Type 1 Diabetes for 33 years training is various sports such as Karate where he was in the England squad at the age of 13 then in his late teens he started bodybuilding and then moved onto competitive road cycling and gaining a World Record last year. Andy will discuss nutrition and blood sugar management whilst being active and competing.
