The Vitality Big Half 2019 is managed by the same organisers who stage the Virgin Money London Marathon and the Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100. It is a new one-day festival centred around the half marathon distance, which aims to be truly global and uniquely local in a celebration of the wonderful cultural diversity of the great city of London. Join the JDRF team today by either securing your own place or applying for one of our charity places for this event.
The route for the 2019 edition of The Vitality Big Half will be announced later in the year. In 2018, the race started by Tower Bridge and finished at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The route will go through four London boroughs: Southwark, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and Greenwich. At the end, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest at the Vitality Big Festival – a celebration of London’s diverse food, culture and music – which will take place in Greenwich Park.
The Vitality Big Half will also feature a top international elite field, wheelchair racers and a mass field running on a certified course over the half marathon distance (which is therefore eligible for world records)!
Join the JDRF team today and help to raise vital funds for research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Our fundraising team will support you all the way!
