What people say about JDRF Discovery Days
I came to the Discovery Day today, not knowing what to expect, we are from a small village and don’t know any other families with a child with type 1, we have felt very isolated. Travelling here today made us realise we have a brilliant support system with JDRF and the lovely people here today, many of whom live very near to us. The research is exciting and we will do what we can to support – Liz Jones, Cardiff Discovery Day
Your Discovery Day made my son make his first friend with diabetes like him, I can’t explain what a difference that has made in his life – Parent, Cornwall Discovery Day
Lewis has really grown in confidence since attending your Discovery Day, seeing other little boys and girls test themselves, has given him the confidence to do the same. To some families that may not mean much, but to us it has meant we can worry a little bit less, knowing he is more self-sufficient now. Of course we still worry, but after today hearing from your lovely researchers we know you are doing so much to find that cure – Parent, Swindon Discovery Day
I’ve had lots of fun and I have made some new friends with diabetes like me – Evelyn, aged 8, Cardiff Discovery Day
