Why Walk

Walk to Cure Diabetes

The annual Walk to Cure Diabetes is JDRF's most popular event, uniting people across the UK to find the cure for type 1 diabetes. The Walk is a fun way for families, friends and work colleagues to get involved and make a difference to the lives of over 350,000 people in the UK who have the condition.

The Walks are roughly five miles in length and are designed to be an achievable distance for young and old alike. Each Walk site has refreshments and entertainment and is a fantastic fun day out for all the family.

The success of the Walk to Cure Diabetes is down to communities joining together to make a difference. Whether you are an individual, part of a family, a pupil at a school, or an employee or employer, everyone can join in and Walk to Cure Diabetes.
